The Workshops

The workshops are delivered in 4 hour sessions which include a morning or afternoon coffee. The number of sessions for each subject varies depending on how much time is required to complete your projects. All materials are included.

Saori free weaving. All levels of experience can enjoy this. If you are a weaver you can make your own warp, beginners enjoy a ready set up loom. Examples of projects you can weave and complete are a scarf or bag etc.

Embroidery. Traditional Dalarna embroidery as seen on folk costumes and free stitching, with or without appliqué.

Pottery. You will be able to produce a fired and glazed piece.

Baking. Traditional bread recipes baked in a wood fired oven. Make the dough, knead it, roll out or shape it and put it in the oven using a long wooden spade. Enjoy hot with butter and jam.

Accommodation

You will love staying in a traditional log cabin! Each cosy cabin has two private bedrooms with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. Sharing a cabin means you avoid having to pay a single supplement if you’re travelling solo whilst the bedrooms ensure you have your own space to relax.

Food & Drinks

We invite you to a welcome dinner the first evening where you can get to know everyone, and a farewell smörgåsbord the last day. All of your Breakfasts and Lunches are included. For the other dinners, which aren’t included, you can either cook in your self-catering log cabin, or eat at the adjacent hotel. There is an excellent shop in the village and also a kiosk selling burgers etc.
